Hi All, I have an HU700F with a Honda GCV160 engine. The blade bolt sheared and despite many attempts, I could not get the piece out of the shaft. I purchased a used GCV160 with the appropriate shaft diameter and length, and swapped the engine, however I am having trouble getting it to run. It seems this engine, from a Honda mower, has more controls than the one used on the Husqvarna - it has a throttle cable connection in the same place as the Husqvarna model, but while that is the only control on the Husqvarna, the throttle on this engine has 2 speeds plus a "choke " position; also there is a "Flywheel brake lever" which seemingly shuts the engine when released. Is there any way to adapt these to the control cables of the HU700F? Or am I screwed? The Honda mower it comes from is an HRT216. Does the Husqvarna even have a flywheel brake control? Or is that the only control and the throttle is actually fixed? I know the old engine had an automatic, rather than manual choke, and I was thinking of swapping the whole carburetor/choke mechanism to get around that. Obviously, I could probably swap out the crankshaft, but that is beyond my expertise. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
