I purchased a new OEM carburetor for my blower and noticed the carb adjustment screws are bigger. The splined tool I’ve been using is too small for the new carb. I have no idea what size splined tool I have. Anyone know what size the updated adjustment screws are, and what brand carb. Husqvarna uses ?

It probably the new 20 tooth 5mm tool. PN 598846901. But they are trying to restrict to dealers only.

Basically it is not available in the USA.

If you can't buy it, make it. Shop grinder and maybe a welder.

Looks like I’ll have to come up with something. Someone said Pacman tool might work. I’m going to replace them with the older mixture screws when I get these out.

purchase can only be done by signed authorized poulan dealer, and can only be dropped shipped from Husqvarna 2 per year. According to my distributor.

But the appear to be available in Canada and Europe so my Canadian buddy is getting it for me. Husqvarna and Poulan just doing it to force the customers to their shops. Just like did with the older tools until the Chinese cloned them.

As for changing them out that might not work if they change the threading. I got that problem on a Kawasaki carb right now three different screws and no one know the thread sizes. I having to hope that the one I ordering is the right one or I have spend $170 for three screws from JD.

Anyone know what brand carb they’re using now? Ruixing, Zama, etc.

It should be the newer Walbro but Ruixing, Walbro, and Zama do put their names on the metering diaphragm cover plate or the carb body. Knock-offs don't.

Star Tech, Just wondering if the newer ones are using Walbro. I know they have the larger mixture screws. My older one has a Ruixing and I don’t like it at all. Which brand do you prefer, or, does it make any difference.
