Bought my hrx217hya brand new & on my second season with it. When I first used it the cruise control was so powerful the mower literally wheelied & I had to slightly run if it was on full speed. Now it barely moves even on full speed & I would have to give it a slight push. Help me diagnose my problem thanks

So does moving the orange speed control lever have any effect on the drive speed? Look under the lever and confirm there's a cable attached to it, and it moves with the lever.

Is the throttle lever set to FAST? It should always be set to FAST to ensure maximum power is delivered to the transmission. Never use the throttle lever to slow down the drive speed.

Inspect the wide, black drive clutch lever across the handlebar. Confirm it too, has a cable connected and moves the cable when you move the lever.

Since your mower has warranty remaining, you may need to have a dealer take a look. Any defective parts are usually replaced at no charge. Be sure to verify with the dealer what is or is not considered warranty work BEFORE authorizing any repairs.

It moves but barely. I have it on full speed & it barely moves. Ill check the cables but I assume since it does move it the cables should be good. I'll give a glance & check with a dealer thanks
