Hi Folks!

My name's Terry and I have been in the propane business for over 35 years. I am a member of CleanCities both local and National and am an expert in Alternative Fuels namely LPG.

Many may know me from different forums and I hope I was able to answer your many questions. I am, and have been, party to procuring many of the incentives now available for using cleaner fuels.

If I can help in any way, shape or form let me know. I know alternative fuels are a hot topic now with many states having "ozone" days. Hopefully I can lend a hand.

Take care all and stay safe!

Terry

I just read your post in the other threads.
I would like to say thank you for bringing your knowledge about LPG and clearing up the myths and other misconceptions around it.

I live for that! ;-) I started working part-time for Cal-Gas while attending college in 1977. Whouda thunk I would spend the next 35+ years doing it.

Honestly I get just as much of a kick out of hearing "old wives tales" about propane as you do hearing my retort. The last ten-fifteen years I've been an instructor travelling the US and presenting to everything from individual commercial Mowers/Landscapers to Congressional meetings with National Clean Cities Coalitions. Most of best times were during lunch or dinner where it was a bit less "informal" (meaning drinks were served) and folks would entertain me with their stories. I still love hearing them.

I hope I don't come off as overbearing. FWIW I don't argue with my Surgeon. It's in my best interest to listen to the professional, right?

Thanks for your kind words!

Welcome to LMF! Always good to have another Hank Hill, propane guy on here. Haven't been in Boise since 1976 and that was at the truck stop when I stayed there 2 days. But that's all I saw of Boise was the truck stop! I'm interested in learning about propane, myths, wives tales and all. I saw on tv one time up in Alaska, or some northern wasteland where they aired up an airplane tire with propane! Seemed to work ok, but I wouldn't want to do it except in an emergency situation.

We've had truck drivers fill their tires with propane too. That's all well and good until the tire gets really hot, then not so good. It blew.
