How to stop cut grass blades from accumulating inside mower cavity?

Only mow when grass is Tinder Dry. After changing the oil, I remove my Deck in the Fall and turn it upside down on a gravel area and pour the used oil into it, swabbing it on all sides and protruberances. Leave it overnite to soak into rusted areas.

Blade difference , deck design as mentioned , blade speed etc . and probably several more reasons can be possible for that symptom .

A J D rider i owned had baffles and being I will never mulch they were removed and made a real difference and some cleaning problems were solved .

Mulching should be outlawed. All we are doing is grinding up weeds and spreading them all over our yards. Then we have to pay to kill off that massive salad bowl of weeds.
