How do I get rid of this weed?

This weed is relentless. Tried stripping all area and reseeding grass.
Any chemical that may do the trick now that is summer and full-grown?
Any idea appreciated!

my house sat vacant for I don't know how long and I had that weed in the back yard. I kept weed b gone on it. it took me about three summers of weed and feed and weed b gone to get rid of it

Ortho "Weed-B-Gon" works for me and keeps the grass.

My guess would be those are a variety of wild violet.
You will need an herbicide to be rid of them which will also kill your grass in that area.
You will then need to replant your lawn and that is the reason i still have them.

Looks like what I call Creeping Charlie (ground ivy). I have never encountered such stubborn crap and even my lawn care service couldn't eradicate it so I fired them.

Have this in my flower beds...always thought it was good ground cover for the bed. Hasn't moved to grass for 20 years luckily.
