Has anyone ever seen a bump head on a grass trimmer melted to the gear head. I had to cut the plastic base on the bump head to get it off. Now what would this tell you about the operator? This is on a Kawasaki trimmer.

I've seen that happen on a bent shaft trimmer that never got its shaft greased. :laughing:

I had a Stihl that did one time. Not sure what happened. Put a new head on and it ran fine. That was summer 2013. Still running that trimmer.

I had one do that once (I grease annually) I was knocking down this field of weeds inaccessible to any machine it was 105 out and I was running it full throttle for about 1.5 hours I went to change the lines and could see the melted plastic lol
