well, one of two things will happen. If FD is correct, the surging will stop. If JD is wrong, it will be back. Water can collect in the very bottom of the carb bowl, in dips in a fuel line, low spots in the tank where you can only get it by adding something like Heet (Isopropyl alcohol) or using a bent rod to maneuver a clean rag around the drained tank - strange places like that which you think you got it all when you did not.

Hi macdoesit,

The trouble is that it only takes 1 drop of water getting caught in the fuel bowl to disrupt fuel being drawn in by the carburetor jets. Water is heavier than gasoline and they are totally opposing liquids.
