wow JD I'm going to have to start going to the one in Topeka.I've been wanting to get a scanner/printer combo. I remember getting an Erector set for Christmas,had a lot of fun w/it.Your Nephew should like it..russ

Russ, before the economy tanked here in Michigan, thrift stores used to have a LOT more stuff and a LOT fewer people looking....these days it's hard to find a real buy unless you go there early. I live about 4 miles away, try to be there when they open.

Same here, if I want a good Vacuum Cleaner or what not from "The Green Home" I have to get there dead on opening times.

Otherwise they will be all sold out.

Yeah i think thrift stores and flea markets are awsome - find alot of good stuff in there sometimes dirt cheep.

I picked up a precise fit spreader/spike areator for $50 the other day- a while back i bot a couple 12" subwoofer kenwood speaker cabnets for $25 - those are still in my shed - went into lowes ( dont forget those places) and picked up a brand new complete twin bagger for a husquavana ZTR tractor for $30! Retail was $400! I left the sale tag on it. Was a returned special order and they wanted it gone- wife also found a couple washer drawers ( fit under front loader washer/dryers to hold soap, ect) for $40 each ( weve looked since and havent seen ANYTHING under $300)- we left the sale tags on those too.

It takes some searching, but if you hit the thrift stores right, you can get some awsome deals - just have to be patient......
