So I'm mowing for the second time with my new Honda (which really is the absolutely best mower I have ever had) and the self-propel quits. I look down and the clutch cable is hanging loose. I see a bracket with a hole where I believe it should be attached, but I have went through the yard and can't find any pieces that may have fallen out. Can anyone help me figure out what is needed to resecure the clutch cable? I have several ideas, but this thing is literally a week old and I'm not ready to go there yet. I realize something must have fallen off. I have hills, but I'm a little disappointed that it happened that easily. Thanks for any help you can give.

Here's an image from the shop manual showing the drive clutch cable parts...note the cable terminates with an eyelet with a lockpin installed through it, along with a spring clip and washer. The clutch spring connects to the lockpin, and the other end to the hold in the drive clutch lever. Which part(s) is missing? Any Honda dealer can get you replacement parts, and if is a factory defect, replacement would be paid for under warranty.

Finally, here's a link to find your local dealer:

Thank you Robert for the quick reply and the IPB. I did find the spring and had no problem putting it all back together. I have no idea how the cotter pin came out, but all is well. Thanks again for the help and for the great product. I have hills and 100 year old live oaks all around our house. The mower has completely proven itself.
