I am wondering why there is not a HRX model that has both Smart Drive and Blade Stop. I know there is a model that has the cruise control and blade stop but not an HRX model with Smart Drive and Blade Stop.

Might we see such a model in the future ?

I to would like this I very very much like the smart drive I have used the prolines drive the basic drive on my old 20" and the personal pace to date the smart drive is my favorite

The product planners at Honda examine a lot of data when considering what features will be on the next mower model. There are surveys, testing, cost analysis, charts, graphs and numbers that analyze down to every penny of cost, sales, profit and loss. It's a tremendous effort between the Sales, Design/Engineering, and Manufacturing groups. Sometimes there are huge jumps, like when the HRX series was first launched, and other times, small changes, for example, when colors or graphics are updated for a fresher look.

So what would it take to have an HRX with SmartDRIVE and Roto-Stop? Back to the first part: Data. Gigabytes of it. All the teams would need tons of data to support the creation of such a model. I can't tell you what's in the pipeline, but I can tell you both SmartDRIVE and Roto-Stop are very popular features, as is the entire HRX line-up. There's little doubt if such a model could be created that met all the target numbers, marketing & planning goals, it would be built, and I promise you guys, you'll hear it from me first. :smile:

Exotion: I know you have an HRR. The HRR family DOES include a mower with these two features, if that interests you, but unfortunately the HRX doesn't.

Mine does not have the roto stop I am considering the next machine to buy andthe hrx is on my list
