First, do you HAVE to replace it? Honda does not specify any service or replacement for the life of the engine, so unless it is damaged, broken, etc. no need to replace it just as routine maintenance.
Here's a basic diagram of what the internals look like:
Not shown is the camshaft, which is driven by the timing belt....the two halves of the block come apart, so the crankshaft can come out and you can fit a new belt. Then, you align a set of marks on the cam pulley to set the timing.
