This has been a great mower.1st pull start almost everytime.After setting all winter I changed the oil ,sharpened blades,cleaned and lubed. Started on 1st pull,but ran wide open. The only way I could slow it down was to choke it.Can you help?

The governor is not working.
As you have just done a service , good chance that the spring has fallen off the governor arm.
If everything is still in place then check that the governor arm is tight on the governor shaft
If it is loose, reset it
If it is tight then it has broken inside the engine so the engine will have to come out for repair.
 
My husband is a 32 year Robotics Engineer with Honda. They have a mower that runs 24/7 around a track at the plant. Their reputation for 1st pull has not failed them, many other Mower Brands use Honda Engines. Honda has been very good to us. There is not much he cannot tell from the Manufacturer Plate.
