Honda 4514 transmission problem

I started the good old honda for the first time this spring and it won't go. Engaging the drive is only causing a loud grinding noise. I can't move the tractor by disengaging the transmission either. The wheels seem to not disengage. Any thoughts? I don't really know where to begin... Its been pretty much trouble free for the 6 years I've had it.

Can you share a serial number off the frame? It's on a plate on the frame just above the left front wheel. I can check the service materials and see what I can find for this specific unit.

It should start with "MZAS-1XXXXXX" There were some electrical changes starting at #1006847

Caveat: I work for Honda, but the preceding was my opinion alone.
