my honda keeps getting stuck in gear. Have adjusted and replaced cable on smart drive. Have cleaned rachet drive.
Put new return spring on gear box. nothing helps. If I tap on gear box the wheels unlock and it starts working again
The HRR216VKA has been built with two types of transmissions, both are belt-drive off the crankshaft.
Early models have a constant-tension belt; is should not be loose. Moving the lever operates a clutch device INSIDE the transmission.
Later models have a variable-tension "slip" belt. Moving the lever tightens/loosens the belt, making the transmission input pulley turn faster/slower. The belt on these models should be loose when the control is release.
