I'm looking at adding a smaller walk behind leaf vac to my equipment. Started doing lawns/leaf pickup this fall and was using a universal leaf bag I bought on line with my walk behind. Didn't know much about the smaller leaf vacs so thought I'd ask here :)

Link below of one I may checkout

Or if I'm just better off with the mower just let me know :)

It looks cool. I think the big difference is that this machine has an impeller that really shreds the leaves in bits. If I am correct, much smaller than what a mower can do, thus stuffing up the bag more = less stop time. Alltho, this is not a high quality unit like the Billy Goat, Gravely or Toro vacs, but it should do the job quite nicely if well maintained.

You could get it! For the price, it aint much!

There is always the blower method. Just get a back pack blower and blow all the leaves in one corner. Put them in bags and you are done! It won't take long.

We have a Merry Mac leaf vac. It does pretty good. A new one is like about $1500 or so. We bought ours off of Craig's List for much less. It reduces leaves 8x.

Most of our leaf clean up though we have a mulch kit under one of our Zero turns that pulverizes them and leaves them in the yard.

I'm hoping the one I'm picking up this weekend (link above) will speed up my leaf cleanups
