I will take a guess and say most people have more hobby's then mowers. As for myself it seems the computer seems to be my biggest hobby now with all the snow and 0 temperatures out side. I have found that my hobby's are changing now that I am older and my back and knees are going bad. I still like wood working in my shop but I find my back doesn't like it. I also like to ride motorcycle which I can still do. Now when I was younger I did a lot of off road riding, snowmobiles, ATVs, hunting, shooting, fishing, camping. I have seen on other forums people with some interesting hobby's. I would like to hear about some of hobby's you may have.

I sure wish I could have the time for some.
I use to race professional grade rc cars. Still have them around in the house. I now use them on the streets and do jumps and stuff. I like jogging too to stay in shape.

Amateur metalworking. i have finally got a Chinese mill-drill and am eyeing a Grizzly lathe. Pretty good at metal bench work since I have only had files and hack saws for the first 50 years. Feeding birds. Watching soccer (we're getting better). Maintaining modding family cars (finally where wife will not drive them-I leave hers alone). Getting stuck on forum topics and raving on 'til stopped.

Getting old ain't for sissies. Take out the hydraulic lifts. Use manual jacks. Rolling around on creepers and on you back is forced yoga for old sore joints. OH, yeah . The last test... using a 24 foot extension ladder to unplug gutters.

Woodworking, furniture building, refinishing, repair, etc.

Used to have my own business but when the economy tanked, my business hit the skids and I held on as long as I could before closing the doors. Now I just have a few select customers that I do work for. I also like to shoot / guns.

I like any machine with a two-cycle engine and mowers aren't even my favorite -- that would be dirt bikes. :cloud9:

I also ride bikes (the kind with pedals  ). My favorite is off-road (mountain biking) but I also ride a lot in the city. Cycling is more than just a hobby. It's also transportation and a fitness activity.

I also enjoy fiddling with computers. I started on mainframes back in the early 1970s, got my first PC in 1984, and have, for the last few years, have gotten into Android devices. The best choice, if you like to mod and write software, is Google's Nexus line... IMO. I have a Nexus 5 phone and a Nexus 7 tablet. It's an exciting time for mobile tech.

I guess those are my top three hobbies... I've got too many others to name. :confused2:

through the years; photography/darkroom, model building/R/C planes, metal detecting, rockhounding, tropical fish (Cichlids) raising, lizard breeding (Phelsuma) ,gem cutting and design (faceting) a little silver and titanium smithing. messed around a little with cycling (recumbent) Probably go back to faceting soon - still have the equipment. Been buying a few board and card games lately. Do most of my own car maintenance and some repairs. my doctor would probably say I should get back on my bike! lol!

I am a board Gamer :) I go to board game groups :) I like games like dominion, arcapeligo, settlers of catan. Basically anything not made by parker bros or matel.

I work on small engines and landscape that's my main hobbies. Other than that I play board games, read sci fi books, mountain bike and do home improvement projects

sweet! - I go to a group occasionally that meets nearby on thursdays, we started with Tikal, Bohnanza and Settlers years ago, quit for a while, recently picked up a few new games. Some new and some used. From No Thanks! and Take 6!, to Forbidden Desert and Dominion. Occasionally we'll break out Carcassonne. I have Snow Tails and it has a fun mechanic, just hard to get family together often enough to get some plays on my newer games. Mostly lighter stuff that my wife likes, though, she is really good at backgammon and likes some abstract stuff like Iota.

maybe she would play Word on the Street, maybe Quiddler, or try to find a use copy of Tisby. all are more fun than scrabble I think.

just have to find a way to ease her into some newer-style games. Like Bohnanza, it's a fun, light trick-making card game, but with a trading mechanic. It's old, but everytime we bring it out, I still enjoy it. check into, Parade, Koi Pond, Jaipur, Morels, Battle Line, maybe challenge her to find a new game you can play together? all kinds of videos nowadays that show how stuff plays and what it looks like.

(now I have to go home and play a game!)

If you mean by "dirty diesel" one that is rolling "coal" then i''ll have to disappoint you,.. it might look cool but it is a waste of fuel and IMO annoying as hell + it gives diesels a bad rap,..we are not into that. i prefer to use all the fuel available to make the vehicle ...go.

"Modded to the max" means every addition or deletion possible done to increase engine performance and reliability and that includes but is not limited by increasing the Turbo boost and re-programming the ECM.

Dirty diesel by just the motor itself. Diesel motors are cool. Yea "smoke and lope" shows are cool, but a waste and gunk up the motor. All tho, it is normal sometimes for a diesel to burn a little black when the pedal is on the floor (running a little rich).

I bet that thing must haul! I've always wanted a Cummins 4btu in my Ranger, but I don't have skills to do a motor swap.

I don't think a ranger is enough truck for a cummins anyway.
I have a 95 12 valve cummins sitting in my shop, been toying about swapping it for the 6.5 td if or when it happens to blow in my 98 GMC 2500.

Check some build threads or Youtube vids of a Ranger with a Cummins. They haul!
Cummins never die! Would be a nice motor for the 98 GMC
