I have recently decided to stop paying crazy prices for lawncare and fired our landscaping company ,,now i just bought my first lawnmower from facebook marketplace,living in the Boston area spring is finally upon us here ..Just wondering with the grass thickening up what height setting on my mower i should be using this time of year

Just don't scalp your lawn , it will get thick and healthy as long as you don't cut it too short. I'm in South Louisiana but doubt it's any different up there

You are in cool season grass land. High as your mower will cut. Fescues and other Kentucky Blue Grass like hybrids like it tall.

Actually it's up to the home owner. Need to get their input on it.

Look at de-thatching too. Everyone mulch mows. All those clipping that "they" say never decompose.
