Synthetic blend is a label gimmick that just means consumers pay more per quart.
knew that. Just like Honda does not make Honda brand oil, or Motorcraft make Ford oil etc.. I went with it because the store is using it in all their serviced equipment, and they have a solid reputation in sales, service and parts. Not bashing Kawasaki branded oil, its very good oil, but they give the illusion that they refine their own oils. They are not in the refining business.
In actuality, the oil is formulated and refined by a Japanese petrol chemical company known as Eneos Corporation.
Nothing to be upset about, that is what most manufacturers do these days. It is known as "private labeled product sales".
This is true in America. There are no standards for what "Synthetic Blend" means. It could mean it only has 1 drop of synthetic in it.
Which means one part in the additive pack, might be synthetic, and EVERYTHING else is or could be dino syrup. The USA has no standards like Europe does. Meaning in Europe, if the bottle says synthetic, the ENTIRE jug is real synthetic inside. Therefore I only buy Full Synthetic.
