Hi...

As stated in an earlier previous post, I am in the process of removing the engine from a redundant Hayter Harrier 41 Autodrive mower.

I removed the blade and thought that the round disc that the blade sits on would come away with it but it did not.

The disc has 3 holes in it, 1 for the bolt that holds the blade and 1 each side of it, this disc appears to sit on a boss at the end of the shaft.

Any ideas as to how this disc is removed, it looks like it could be an extractor job, but I am reluctant to try to remove it until I have a bit more info, I can add some pics

if this will help.

Thanks in advance for any tips

Regards Tony B

Possibly requires oxy/acetylene to heat hub and the cold water to cool off to be able to free from crank.
Try soaking wd40 and using a puller.
You could also do it another way but you will need extra hands.
Turn mower upside down. Fit crank bolt but not tighten all the way.
Put rope either side of disc. Now lift mower off ground with ropes which should be still on black disc.
Now somebody else hits crank bolt with hammer.
Disc may start to come off.
