Having trouble getting on trailer

So I put a mulch kit on my mower and it left a section on top of the deck where I can hook a chain so I went and got a two foot piece from HD yesterday . So when the deck catches on that side I can just lift up on the deck with the chain. Or at least that is the plan I will see how it works today
