hard starting runs few seconds then dies

I have a yard machine rider. Very hard starting if it starts it will run a few seconds. I put in a carb kit. changed out the old gas. I can't get the plug out it is so tight. When it runs engine sounds good. Any help I can get is greatly appreciated.

Sounds fuel related, try spraying some starting fluid or choke cleaner in the carb. Does it start up easier? If equipped with fuel solenoid(anti- afterfire) be sure it's properly operating.

May be a fuel line issue to. Try seeing if your fuel lines are rotted, or clogged with crap.
