I’m trying to replace the self-propel motor on my Greenworks Pro 60V 25” mower (SKU 2531502). The warranty ran out a month before the motor failed. I have the replacement part and have the mower taken apart, but I can’t get the black gearbox housing out to reach the motor. The rear axle is too long to slide out within the mower's width, so the housing won’t come free. Is there a way to unscrew the axle, or a trick to getting the housing off it? Has anyone done this repair?
