I have an older Gravely ZT 2348 XL zero turn and only the right side wheel will go. I had released the hydros to push the machine and afterwards closed the release bolts down, backed them off a quarter turn. Start her up, and at first I could go forward but then the left handle got really stiff and stopped any movement. If I pull hard on the left side the handle can move a limited amount. I checked my reservoir and it is WAY above the dipstick mark. I have no idea how that happened. Could that be the culprit?

Check and make the brake is fully released. I have one customer that has to tie down the brake lever due the spring tension.

StarTech, good advice. When I tried to move under power the notch for the brakes was not engaged at first but then dropped on. The throw lever was disengaged as the cotter pin disappeared. Hooked that back up and I'm mowing, Wee Haa. So glad it was not the Hydro. Thanks a bunch.

I have a ZTR 60 after it warms up right side will not pull at low speed. Turning using the left gear only the right will wine, jurk and not pull. My first guess was it catavating running low on oil. I,ve changed the oil twice making sure it takes two quarts and stops bubbling. Has anyone had this problem ? if so have you fixed it?

So, was it running low on oil? And when you say right side will not pull at low speed are you talking about the engine RPM'S or actual speed of the mower?

The engine is running just fine, when I said low speed that was to slow down to turn or pull out of a ditch. The engine stayes max RPM'S. When making long straight cuts the machine does fine, when you get to the end and try to do 180 you can only turn right using the left wheel, the right one will not pull.
