Hello all new to the forum and new to grasshopper mowers. Quick history my son and daughter inlaw bought her grandparents house . Her grandfather passed almost 4 years ago. The bought the house almost a year ago . Well her grandfather had a grasshopper Z721d setting under the car port in a few pieces. Well my son didnt want it he wanted hauled off so I said I will take it . I got the mower put back together and fixed alot of the wirring problems and got it running today . It starts up easy runs and idle really good. went to drive it and it moves pretty good expect on inclines . I never thought to check the trans fluid so I pulled it back on the driveway and the fluid looks like milk . So ai am guessing moisture from sitting . I know to drain the pumps and holding tank but what about the lines . My local parts store had there AW68 hydraulic fluid on clearance for 5.99 a gallon so I picked up 3 . I am waiting from my filters to come in and do the change .

You don’t need to pull all the lines. Drain the tank and pumps and replace filters. Moreover, you should refill with AW68 and run/drive it lightly to circulate. Drain again (flush) and repeat until fluid looks clear, then do a final fill.
That should fix the weak performance on inclines.
