Maintain or cut Fescue at a height of 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 inches, you can let it grow to 3 1/2 to 3 3/4 inches before cutting.
That might be what a diagram say but I can tell you it needs to be cut at 3 1/2 inches or higher. Due to the stress from the hot dry months.

I understand what is being discussed but I live in the south where not every home is a 1/4 acre yard or less with a built in sprinkler system.
