My father in-laws neighbor was using some contraption to pick up walnuts. He was rolling something around on the ground. I had never seen it before. It looked very simple to use. So I had to google it and found out it is one of these- Nut Wizard Home

It looked like it worked amazing.

We have about a dozen huge black walnut trees, some are about 50-60 years old. Many of them began dropping their nuts about a week ago, I have never known them to begin shedding walnuts this early in the year. Thankfully there are not a lot of them to pick up this season, at times in the past there were so many it was practically walnut-to-walnut carpeting in my front yard....

Yeah, what a stupid joke....

Does anyone know of a mechanical means to pick them up?
