Fuel Leak Near Carburetor

I was recently given a 2000 Grasshopper 721 FrontMount with a Kubota WG750 engine. I started it briefly in my shop to check something, and after shutting it off, I noticed a strong fuel smell. I found fuel leaking from what I think is the small outlet/overflow underneath the carburetor.

Since this is an older mower, I'm having trouble identifying the exact part and finding the correct part number.

Can anyone help me determine:

  • What is causing the fuel to leak from this outlet?
  • What is the correct name and part number for the part(s) I need?
  • Where can I find the correct replacement to make sure I order the right one?

That is a fuel solenoid. It's purpose is to shut off fuel to the engine, when the ignition is off, to help prevent dieseling/afterfire. If you provide the engine model number, someone can likely help you get a part number.

I'm not familiar with that particular solenoid, but there are seals that may be rotten. From the picture, I would be thinking of replacing the fuel lines from tank to carb. It looks like that bolt on the right side holding that wire with red insulation holds it on, but there may be more. It may be easiest to remove the carb to see. Judging by the dirt, I'd pull the carb and clean it for starters, and figure out why it's leaking.
 
Are you referring the area in the Orange box? If so that is the fuel drain for the carburetor. And the drain valve may not be fully closed or is damaged.

I'm seeing more than a drain issue. Tons of rust on those grounding points. Bet the entire block is covered in mud. What cooling fins???

Look above the carb bowl. Got more than one leak going on.
