FS 45 cannot get the pull start to grip the cup when reinstalled

Gidday,

have had the back off my FS45 I'm sure I have not lost anything, reinstalled it, but now feels like
it wont grip in the alloy cup, is there a trick to putting these back together?

All good the dog was not throwing out, retaining clip was not gripping shaft and throwing the dog out.
