From automatic choke to a manual choke carbueater.

I have a Husqvarna YTA 1946 ridding Lawn mower. that has a B&S 19 hp engine it has the Nikki carb 591856 , I would like to get a better carb with the complete kit to change over to manual choke but not sure which carb, I should get to replace the Nikki make and carb number please if you can help.

Need current engine's model and type but you may not even need to change the carb just a link and remove the solenoid.

I believe you are right but that carb. is the crap if you know what I mean. I had put a carb kit in it, it runs but won't stay running.

If that is a Briggs single cylinder OHV this info is on the valve cover. If not seen someone has installed the valve cover upside down.

With the correct info We might be able to steer you to a different MAKE of carb.

Going to a manual choke CARB is usually not the answer to your issue.

Ok, I will look for the right info. Here is what I found on the valve cover M-33s877 code-140109zD On air cleaner S-14 0109 ZD 22788

Converted serial number. 33S877-0009-G1

All you to do to switch from the smart choke is removed the circled item. The sensor switch can be left in place just disconnected.

Then you replace 216A with 216 and it is attached to the choke butterfly lever.

216 PN is 691840. This will give you still have a working choke but you need push the throttle to the choke position so choke closes. No more auto choking.

Carb repair kit is 796184 Carburetor Overhaul -(Nikki Carburetor) - Used Before Code Date 15122300.
