FR691V AIR filter UPGRADE

Does anyone know if any of the FR691V air filter upgrades as sold on eBay and Amazon is as good as power equipment guys that is sold out, if not what is the difference?

Well got my upgrade in today from power equipment man , looks like it is going to work great , didn’t take long to install, and is somewhat quieter, don’t know if anymore power but it’s got to breathe a whole lot better!

I submitted my email. Got notification few days later. Ordered that very moment.
Came in quickly, installed it and tested it. Cut 6-7 inch Bermuda, KR bluestem, woody pasture stuff, thistle, never slowed down.....

The Kohler Confidant line and B&S Professional and CXi lines would benefit from a similar system.
I will say that the filter setup with the Kohler Confidant ZT-740, on my Gravely, stays relatively clean. However, I service the filter as outlined in the Kohler owners manual. The manual says to remove the filter and foam pre-filter every 25 hours. Clean the filter box. Wash and re-oil the foam pre-filter and reinstall. Replace the filter and pre-filter every 100 hours. The foam pre-filter catches the majority of dust, dirt, and chaff. I find that the filter is pretty clean at every 25 hour service. Even at 100 hours it looks good. Regardless, I still change both at 100 hours.

This thread has got me looking for an upgrade to my Kohler KT745 (26hp) w/o going full tilt with the $200+ unit. I'm just a lowly homeowner. But something like this https://www.ebay.com/itm/3663917721...brand=Kohler&_trksid=p4375194.c102726.m162918 sounds doable. But it's like pulling teeth to find a kit that has everything, housing, filter, gasket, all together. Does anyone make something for a KT745 that has everything altogether?

Just remember, as a general rule, air filters can be serviced/replaced On Condition ie if they look okay (not blocked) they are likly okay.

A blocked air filter will cause your engine to run rich (thats all) won't damage anything. Power will be down and you will use more fuel than normal.

Over servicing will cost you time & $$ for no gain.
