How often should I fertilize my lawn to get it to grow nice n green? I'm a new home owner and first time on this page. Need all the help I can get!

Its pretty hard to say without the State you live in, the type of grass, the condition of lawn, what was done last year, how often you mow, do you water etc. Your State university should have a lawn care calendar and information on grass types etc. Just look it up on the internet.
 
Thank you! I did not know that. I'll have too look into there website and see what it says! I want a nice thick green lawn at my house.
