fd750 head gasket

First time on this site and looking for some help. I have rebuilt many engines but no Kawasaki's yet. This is an older Fd750d on a Scag Turf Tiger. Ran perfect last year, serviced and checked all fluid levels before start up this year. Fired right up but had a slight miss. Ran for maybe 2 minutes at idle before started to puff white smoke and i instantly shut it down. Went right to the dipstick and found the milkshake. Do I start with Head gaskets? Did a compression check with left cylinder 20 psi less than right if that even matters with a water cooled Kawasaki. Any guidance or suggestions appreciated. Thanks

Typically you can tell by the spark plug if it might me one cylinder with an issue. If one plug is super clean, almost like new, that is likely the cylinder with the issue. Sometimes I use a dye in the coolant as well to possibly reveal a slight crack or where the coolant shouldn’t be.
