Exmark motor question

When I cranked up my mower it shot out a little white smoke and stopped. What could have caused this? It's a new mower

My mower did the same thing for about the first 50 hours. I then switched to synthetic oil and it quit smoking at start up. My dealer said the Koehler engines need time to break in.
