If you loosen the charge pump cap until oil runs out, that will prime the hoses to the pump. Another possibility is the charge pump is oriented incorrectly for the side (left side is different from the right side). Please call Exmark Customer Service at 800-667-5296 with your model number and serial number. The trained technicians can tell you which way to orient the charge pump cap. Thanks.
