I just recently posted a new post on the small engine & mower repair forum and I now realize I should have posted it on this "Kohler Engine Forum". If you think you can help me, please read my post on the 'Small engine & repair forum"
Thanks,
John

Missed yer post over in M&R forum, sorry.
Tip?
If your post lacks attention just post a brief " bump" as a supplementry.
Pix upload or links work well, like "here is what I am seeing" kinda thing.
There are folks in M&R who are across most brand names, and help with
what they find. Engines is engines, like :)

Now, your "hotdog" exhaust noise?
Prove it aint the baffle. Some have theorised it pays to drill holes in
baffles to improve performance. Another debate but my point is you wont see
any mods. Soooo... take some fine chickenwire, roll it loosley into a cylinder
shape and stuff it into the exhaust outlet.
If that shuts the excessive noise down then you got yourself a modded or
collapsed muffler. Dont leave the test in, buy a muffler.
If the noise continues it can only be a manifold gasket or busted manifold.

Truat that helps some and apologies fir any perceived lack of service :grins:
