tiring of hauling unit in for repairs,,thought I would check this out.
My ex mark quest,,, issue... right blade free spins. I put a socket on upper and lower, it is tight, not loose,,,I can turn the bottom nut and the other two spin with tension, as I suspect its supposed to...but this one, just free spinning,,,,,,belt seems tight enough no damage noted. is the spindle looking unit that connect to the deck need to be replaced or is there a washer or something in side that can be replaced,

thanks in advance,, as is the usual case, im sure I will be back with other issues due to cost and time to take in..
Sincerely

If you cannot get the blade to tighten on the spindle, that obviously is not going to work. I have never seen that happen. Order a new spindle if you have to because blade has to be tight.

If the whole spindle is turning the drive pulley, there is not enough belt tension possibly.

Otherwise, the blade retainer nut has wiped most of the threads out of it and the spindle stem end.
