Engine wont idle down

Briggs and stratton 216902-0125, replaced carb runs good but wont idle down. Lost ability to control throttle.
 
You probably need to adjust your Static Governor setting as recommended by B&S in such cases. I think I have a Service Manual for that engine IF you want it, contact me at address below putting in proper format and remind me engine model number and what you want.

If this happened while taking a carb off and putting a carb back on then you didn't hook something up on the throttle control............

Don't worry about the governor just yet as you didn't do anything in that area...... Trace your steps back and look at the hookup area closely.......

I was able to fix the problem by turning the idle screw on carb. Runs perfect. Thank you for your help.
