Engine shut off loud rattle

check all bolts on the muffler. I just had one doing the same thing when shutting down the engine. and loose bolt holding the muffler to the frame was loose and when the engine wound down it would cause a rattling sound.

Yes The engineers a Hustlers are a bunch of idiots. Anybody that would bolt a muffler to the frame is not too smart. The engine and the frame flex differently. Have seen a lot of the Hustler mufflers break because of this.

Have you actually looked at a Raptor SD54 mower?
The muffler is not attached to the frame at all?
