engine only runs on carburetor cleaner

Yamaha MA 190 power washer from Costco
Suddenly stopped running except when carburetor cleaner is squirted into the air intake.
So, I bought a new carburetor kit on Amazon for $20 but the same exact thing is happening.
There is fuel in the float chamber.

What could be wrong?
 
the carb or fuel pump. On a rare case, a leaking intake manifold or water / kerosene etc., in the bowl instead of gasoline. Or old fuel

Using last years old beyond stale gas, trash and water in your fuel can? How old is the gas? If you don't know WHEN the gas was bought? Might try fresh fuel.
 
From your description it is not getting good fuel flow.

Turn off the gas petcock, remove the drain plug bolt from the fuel bowl, turn on the gas petcock and see if you have good constant flow out the carb bowl drain. If not good flow eventuall check the screen filter that is at the gas tank outlet.
If good flow, drain the tank and add good fuel.
I seen a MA190 at jacks small engine parts that shows the items described.
