Hi, I have a 2007 simplicity baron 20hp 40 inch cut, the mower starts instantly and drives around as it should, but i can not get 12v down to the clutch. when i attach 12v direct to the clutch it clicks back as a test and clutch ohms was 3.2 so think the clutch is all good. The seat sensor plunger type has been pushed in and tied with cable tie and mower starts ok. The 2 switches at back of mower have good continuity, as does the brake switch, what other switches are there to test ? many thanks

Test your Clutch engagement Switch , with the key on and switch engaged you should see 12 volts at the switch , if you do , then chase the wires to where they go to the clutch itself and see where the power drops off . may just be the switch , some have extra terminals and you can just move them over to a set that is working

Wonder what the model number is of your rig?
I would probably think about looking at a wiring diagram then use a electrical tester.

PTO switch or ignition key switch come to mind. Most of the safety switches are wired to shut the entire mower down and not just the deck. A wiring diagram is needed.

You may find that under the deck the belt may have damaged the Clutch wiring or it has worn through the grommet in the frame and shorts out.
