Regardless of the brand, these trimmers are slow, cumbersome, and not used often because they are a bad way of trimming. Use a regular trimmer and get it done.Just bought a new one and wish it had self propell. Has anyone converted one to self propell?

Right they are not for everyday use around residential areas. They are however they are very useful in the commercial and farm operations. On farms especially clearing under fences and overgrown fence rows where a tractor can't be used. And I have one nursery that uses them to clear between plant rows where the workers might be doing this clearing all day. This is where using a handheld is a back killer.Regardless of the brand, these trimmers are slow, cumbersome, and not used often because they are a bad way of trimming. Even under fence rows, they are still not good. Slow cumbersome, and limited cutting path. A wheeled hard blade edger is in the same category.Right they are not for everyday use around residential areas. They are however they are very useful in the commercial and farm operations.
