If you don't need a mask you are better suited to Halloween than 99% us here so go out and get the candy before the kids do, they don't need it anyway. I wasn't aware that Scotland had the holiday, I thought it was strictly an American tradition. How did you know what my costume was going to be....somebody must have blabbed....oh, I get it, it was that thread I started about blood donations....right?
I had my suspicions, and that clinched it

I like Halloween, however we usually don't get trickertreeters and keep the lights off anyway and hide in the bedroom with just the T.V. on the whole night for light. Candy is expensive too these days. The good stuff like chocolate isn't cheap anymore. I can't see handing out hard rock candy to anyone that stuff is awful. So we basically don't do it. Halloween for me is more of a time for remembering when I was a kid. The old man up the street did not want to be bothered by anyone at anytime let alone Halloween. But if you knocked on his door on Halloween he would answer it and hand out single matches and cigarettes to the kids. He must have figured the parents would find out and would make sure they wouldn't bother him again. Those were different times, these days they would arrest the guy.

Walleteater 1 , yes Halloween brings back a lot of good memories of when I was young. Everything seemed better back then, no worries....well unless you was like me and couldn't wait to get out of school!
