I don't. And I hate Trick or Treaters!

This 31st I'll be sitting in front of the television watching a good video with some popcorn, the curtains shut, and the volume up loud to drown out the sounds of children knocking on the door.

Besides, I was responsible for scaring a Trick or Treater to tears last year when I answered the door. Did I have a mask on ? No, that is just my face. Drum roll please

Anyways, what will you be doing ?

I know JD has already arranged to go out knocking on doors dressed as Dracula, but what are the rest of you doing on Halloween ?

If you don't need a mask you are better suited to Halloween than 99% us here so go out and get the candy before the kids do, they don't need it anyway. I wasn't aware that Scotland had the holiday, I thought it was strictly an American tradition. How did you know what my costume was going to be....somebody must have blabbed....oh, I get it, it was that thread I started about blood donations....right?

My driveway is half mile long on the end of a 2 mile long gravelroad along not a soul lives.
I got no yardlights burning, all one hears is the grunting of the buffalo along the fence and wolves howling in the distance or near.
Its here so scary at night even dracula himself would sh!t his pants.
Soo,no haloween trick or treaters have knocked on our door for ages(at least not since the last one was carried of by mothman ) (mind ye there aren't any kids left in the neighborhood anymore anyway)

Live in the country:thumbsup: and when my kids were young took them down the the country roads in the neighbourhood. Not alot of houses but kids got a lot of candy, big chocolate bars, pop & apples. As they got older the kids when to town to get their treats, a lot of homes but very small candy given out.:frown: Don't get many kids at the house anymore, :frown:just my grandkids. Most people take their kids to town and let them walk around.:confused2:

the wife and i participate in giving candy to the neighborhood kids and who ever else stops by(relatives).we put up some decorations at our house along with other neighbors.when i was young kid we got to go out trick or treating for 2 nights and stay out till 9:00pm. now its just a few hours till dusk for one night, but hey thats ok as long as the kids have fun.i think one day not to far off that house to house trick or treating will end, because so many schools, and community centers have things for the kids to do inside in a controlled area.when our kids were little i would take them out and when we got back home we would sort all the different candies in rows on the floor and test the air supply in each bag just to make more certain that the candy was safe to eat,and believe it or not the kids thought that was so cool to do,they still remember to this day.
