neat diy designs - unlike some stock designs, nothing sticking out (and get hit) in open or closed chute position (attach)

and stock:

p.s. out of topic, but: that's the way sulky been attached by previous owner - no reinforcement, but seems holds good - no deformation ...

blocks (on picture left corner) - wooden boards sckrewed togeter - compact and light, you take one with you when you need to go on tall curbe

I had a Billy Goat and didn't like (along with many other things) how if you wanted to lift up the rubber discharge chute while mowing (and wanted it to stay up) you had to set it against the muffler which in turn would burn the rubber and put a black mark on the muffler. :confused2:

Just want to let you know that if your mower needs to go into the shop, a good mechanic is going to say the following. "I'm sorry you are going to have to let me install the proper chute or cover or I can't work on your equipment". Federal law and liability issues mean that anytime a safety component has been compromised, the repair shop must restore it to as originally purchased condition. The discharge chute is a safety component.

Just for the record, I was not advocating leaving off the factory shield... I am just looking for a way to temp install the mulching plug when I do my yard.

just in case: it's newer been an issue with good mechanics i know from hustler, exmark, toro dilerships
but, if it ever be the case - ok, just take old stock chute, throw it on place - it's just two bolts - that's all, issue resolved
if it's an issue at all ... : )))))

windrows of grass - not going to damage lawn - it's not clumps, not pressed to the ground, and easy to deal with: most of the time it can be blown -off by going over it with deck -up or with the blower or just trimmer
