Dixon 4515b no fire to the plug while ignition engaged, but fires when not engaged.

I have a dixon 4515b. The starter engages and turns the engine over well, but there is no spark to the wire/plug. As soon as the ignition/starter switch is disengaged, the wire/plug receives fire. The battery is new and it load tested fine. Starter is real strong. Any tips are appreciated.

It has been working fine for a long time, so it might be the switch? I'll look Sunday, also, is there a resistor between the key and coil? Or is there even a coil?
