Dixie Chopper 27 hp Briggs Stratton COLD

My old Dixie has a Briggs & Stratton 27 hp motor. Plenty of power but HARD to start when it is cold... reason I bought a new one. Changed starter, battery,. Maybe valve adjustment needed?

If you mean that the engine cranks real slow and struggles when cold, then yes, a valve adjustment would be the first thing to do.
