Cub Cadet model LTX1050 and Kawasaki 22.0 HP/726cc engine, FR651V will not stay charged while running. Voltage regulator, alternator, other??

Any feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated.

The tractor will slowly lose charge and eventually die every 1-2 times I cut the grass. Battery is roughly a year old. I took it back to tri state battery initially because I thought it was the battery and they charged the battery overnight and told me it was fine.

Hello C.,

Do you have a basic multi meter that can read AC and DC voltages? If not, you need to get one. Throwing parts at a problem without testing can waste a lot of money.

There are lots of You Tube small engine folks that demonstrate how to test the charging system on these engines.

If you require parts, you will need to locate the product information label. That is usually under the seat or affixed to the seat fold up base.
