Cub Cadet LTX1045 will not turn over

This is narrowing down to a clutch/brake safety switch, PTO switch or a seat switch problem. Is the brake locked down when you are trying to crank it. I the PTO turned off?
 
I had similar issue, after checking safety switches I replaced starter, the new,(Amazon), starter worked about 3-4 times and quit, replaced with same one as I had 30 day warranty and this one has worked out. Try hot wiring your starter from battery, that should bypass all safety switches and go from there.
 
I've found a common wire brush won;t remove lead oxide very well . Maybe that's why a certain battery terminal brush was invented . I scrape them with my pocket knife until the lead shines bright .
 
I agree to try and turn engine by hand. If can't remove the spark plug. Turn over a few times to clean the jug. Leave plug out. If you have jumper cables, connect black to battery Neg and the other end to a clean spot on the engine's case. Connect the red to the starter's power connection bolt in the side of it. With everything tight and not shorting to anything else, touch the red jumper lead to the battery's Pos. It should spark a bit and spin the engine. Won't start due to plug out and Ign key in off position. If this work's then you have an electrical problem. Start at ign switch B terminal and see it 12v is there, if not check fuse. Check that all the safety switches are satisfied. Especially seat switch. Turn the key to start and see if 12v at the S terminal. If so, probably solenoid related. There should be 12v at the small terminal of the solenoid with the key in Start pos. Solenoid has to be grounded either thru a small black wire or the mounting itself. Check and clean all connections as you go along.
 
I'd be pretty sure your battery is a goner... Had it recently myself, charges up (unusually quickly), shows more than a healthy 12.7v coming off the charger, powers the low wattage lights / instruments ... But no cranking amps on a key turn. Take a healthy 12v battery (out of your car?) and attach with jumper cables.
 
Thanks for all your help. My battery had 75 to 100 % charge and gave 13 vdc reading. Thought battery was good. Bought battery load tester. It failed. New battery fixed it. Learned something new. Thanks again for all your help.
