Nope.

Just have not read any good about them yet.

I'm waiting for the GPS and yard plot mapping models to come out, that way I can watch the mower do the work on my smart phone.

I haven't really heard much about them... Taryl has a good video on the IntelliPower system.

It may be worth the extra $1,000 to buy the one with the Kaw .

They are usually Chinese knockoffs of Honda such as Lifan or Powermore. Dealer orders them this way to lower price point.

The engine are base on MTD's P90 engine with electronics added to carburetor where they are controlling the fuel mixture via sensors. They are basically using fuel management electronics which will give us a lots of problems to figure without an engine service manual. Actually I do have X90 with carburetor and fuel injection service manual from 2023 here and it doesn't even cover the new electronic controlled carburetor which has stepper motors in it. So this yet another item that got to be updated.

Update the manual actual does cover the new carb I over looked that section. And I was wrong on what stepper motor were controlling. They control the choke and throttle vanes and not the fuel mixtures. Thank to MTD tech support for pointing this out.

Always worth it for Kawasaki, IMO.

From what I gathered by watching Taryll's video, there is no way to refit these engines with a regular carburetor because they have no internal governor. Everything is controlled by electric stepper motors, a temp sensor and an RPM sensor.

I think someone at Cub Cadet division forgot to tell the upper management that these are still mowers that have to operate in extreme conditions. Kind of like why do they put a cup holder on a rider? Dirt, dust and clippings will attract to any sweating beverage container around the general area. (This had to be an office idiot and a crafty salesperson dream).

At the moment, I just do not see a future of any kind for this design.

It makes me wonder what happens if someone eventually attempts to install a totally different (conventional) engine, it will certainly mean a wiring harness and operator cables at a minimum.

I acquired a Cub Cadet XT1 with a blown Chonda from my neighbor. It had a broken connecting rod and a hole in the block. Her son in law changed the oil and said to her, “you don’t want to over tighten the oil filter” when he changed the oil. Needless to say, the oil all leaked out and pooched the engine.

I have attempted to repower this mower with a Kohler CV15S. It requires a throttle cable that has to be modified in dash. A muffler that has to be modified to install. Wiring that has to be hard wired (this is where I am stuck). I can get it to start, but not turn off, or charge battery. I believe it has a diode and no regulator/rectifier. Any help on wiring would be greatly appreciated. I have looked at wiring diagram and it is very basic, but still can’t figure it out.

I'm sure a few years down the road, the electronic parts will be NLA. Maybe someone who never cut a lawn (most of our teenage kids) let alone start a lawn tractor over thought the choke and throttle cables. Might be a nice marketing ploy, but I'll stick with with my relatively inexpensive cables. By the way, don't get your battery powered Cub Cadet lawn tractor wet. Do they still make them?

Hello, Tiger Small Engine,

If it has a single wire diode stator, it will not power the PTO clutch for the deck if it has that option. If it is a manual lever operated deck it will not be an issue.
